"Enrico Caruso". 1915. Photograph size: 7.5" h x 3.75" w. Total size in frame: 12.5" h x 8.75" w. In excellent condition (just a tiny bit of silvering at bottom).
A particularly nice black-and-white photograph of the Italian tenor dressed as Des Grieux, though it is unclear whether for Puccini's Manon Lescaut or Massenet's Manon. Caruso has signed in full at the bottom. In handsome marbled French matting and a muted gold frame with leaf detail.

Caruso first sang Puccini's Manon Lescaut in Cairo in 1895, and Massenet's Manon in Buenos Aires in 1900.
