Lichtenstein, Henriette Victoire Hotho (1795-1866)
Volkslieder mit Begleitung des Pianoforte. I. Sammlung. 54s Werk. Bureau de Musique von C. F. Peters: Leipzig, n/d. Pl.n: 1442. Early and possibly only edition. Oblong quarto. Disbound. Separated at spine between pp. 8-9. The whole a bit dusty, but in good condition.
Henriette Victoire seems to have been the wife of Hinrich Lichtenstein, the noted German physician, explorer, and scientist. The couple were close friends of Carl Maria von Weber's at Berlin. This edition of six songs is listed on the title page as her fifty-fourth opus, but it is difficult to find any record of her other work.
