"Collected from the library of Paul Hirsch, Frankfurt A. Main, with participation from Paul Hirsch and edited by Johannes Wolf" on verso next to title page. Hirsch (1881-1951) was a musician and avid music collector. His collection comprised over 18,000 items and was acquired by the British museum in 1946.

This facsimile was published by Breitkopf & Härtel in Leipzig in 1922. Of 380 total copies, No. 1-300 were intended for sale. The other eighty, No. I-LXXX, were not commercial editions. This copy is one of the editions originally not intended for sale, Nr. LXXIX.
