A zither, or tzetze, from Tanzania, made by the Zaremo people. A bowl-shaped instrument made from a single piece of dense wood, with the protrusion from the main body becoming a figure representing a squatting young girl with eyes made of glass beads. The sides of the instrument are decorated with geometric incisions.
With "good age", coming from a private twentieth-century French collection.
