The Polish pianist has written a program which he has signed "Alb. Sowinski", for a concert organized for the benefit of the Poles wounded in the last war and which will include his Quintett in E Major and another vocal work by him.

Albert Sowinski was a Polish pianist, composer and musicologist who immigrated to Paris in 1828 and was active and well-known in the Polish community there. On several occasions he appeared alongside Liszt and participated in Chopin’s Paris debut in 1832. As a writer on music he collaborated with Fétis and helped to foster the earliest Polish dictionary of musical biography.
