A program for A Musical Tribute honoring the late Rudolf Serkin, given at Carnegie Hall in September 1991, just four months after his passing. On the cover is a charming black-and-white photograph of the great pianist, shown smiling and clapping at the keyboard.
Rudolf Serkin was an acclaimed Bohemian-born pianist of international fame. He is best remembered for his interpretations of Beethoven and for his role in the founding of the Marlboro Music School and Festival.
