Slip case with a little wear.A boxed LP set of Menotti's The Medium and The Telephone, signed by Menotti on the back of the slip case. The recording was conducted by Emanuel Balaban and includes some singers from the premiere cast of The Medium. Columbia OSL-154.
The Medium and The Telephone premiered together at New York City's Heckscher Theater on February 18, 1947 and became highlights of Menotti's early career. As was his custom, Menotti wrote the librettos and music for both operas. He later also directed a film version of The Medium (1951).
