Friml, Rudolf (1879-1972)

"Rudolf Friml". New York, April 13, 1928. Small hole-punched sheet. In fine condition. The F of Friml with very minor original smudge. File holes at very top.
The flourished signature of the Czech-born operetta and musical composer, penned just one month after the Broadway premiere of his musical The Three Musketeers. The show was produced by the inimitable Florenz Ziegfeld and followed on the heels of Friml's other major hits, Rose-Marie (1924) and The Vagabond King (1925). A production on London's West End opened in 1930.
