Leschetizky, Théodore (1830-1915)

Autograph testimonial signed

Prof. Theodor Leschetizky. Vienna, June (January?) 15, 1907. Framed with an total size of 14" h x 11.5" w. Overall fine despite creases from folding. With an original smudge in the "y" of the signature.
An attractively framed testimonial from the great pianist and pedagogue, stating that Miss Monica Daily from New York State has studied with him for several seasons and her excellent talent, combined with serious, noble industry, has contributed a great deal towards the attainment of a high level in the art of piano playing, which she accomplishes with much success, both as a pianiste, as well as a teacher, since her training has not only been directed towards virtuosity, but also theoretical aspects.
The remarkably influential pedagogue Letschetizky was himself a Czerny pupil and later the primary teacher of Paderewski, Gabrilowitsch, Schnabel and many others.
