Cipolla, Francesco (fl. 1794 - 1800)
Two Italian Cantatas. Op. 1. [Piano-vocal Arrangement]. Signed by the composer with a flourished "F" on the title page. Longman & Broderip: London, [1794, as per WorldCat]. First Edition. Engraved. Oblong quarto. 68 pp. Disbound. A very clean and crisp copy.
Francesco Cipolla composed and directed at several opera theaters in Italy before moving for a time to London in 1794, where he published these cantatas, his very first opus. They consist of elaborate scenes of recitatives, arias, and duets with highly ornamented vocal lines in the late-Neapolitan operatic style.
