MANUSCRIPT LEAF
Probably Spanish, 16th century. Leaf: c. 27" h x 18" w (68.75 cm x 45.72) . Total size in mat: 32" h x 23" w. (81.28 cm x 58.42 cm). A little creased at top and a bit rumpled, as is often the case with vellum leaves. Overall in excellent condition.An attractive large leaf from the Kyrie of a Mass with two nicely embellished initials "K" and a handsome illuminated letter "P" which is handpainted with lovely blue thistles and gold leaf.
