Cramer, J.B. (1771-1858)

Come Haste To The Wedding, Adapted As A Rondo For The Piano Forte, In Which Is Introduced As An Andante, The Favorite Air, Of In My Pleasant Native Plains.

Clementi, Banger, Hyde, Collard & Davis: London, [1806]. PN Milligan, p. 33. First Edition (of rondo alone). Engraved. Quarto. 11 pp. Disbound and detached. A very clean and nice copy.
J.B. Cramer published his Op. 35, a set of three sonatas for piano, in 1805. This rondo is the third movement of the first sonata in that set. In December 1806, Clementi, Banger, Hyde, Collard & Davis published various movements from Op. 35 as works unto themselves; this is thus the first edition of the rondo as a free-standing piece.
