The Wurlitzer name goes back to 1856 in musical
America -- the present partnership of Marianne
Wurlitzer and Gene Bruck started in 1975 and
has built a very large stock and loyal clientele.
We don't issue catalogs or advertise -- our customers
know us through word of mouth and professional
referrals. Business at the gallery -- overlooking
the Hudson River (near Lincoln Center in Manhattan)
-- is by appointment only (but our hours can be
very flexible) or by direct contact via the telephone
or correspondence (including e-mail and fax).
Although we are now using modern technology in order
to communicate with our clientele, we will continue
to do business the way we always have, so please
tell us what you are looking for and we will be happy
to make offers from our stock. Better still, plan
to visit us in New York!

From the Press
THE NEW YORK TIMES:
"the couple has impressive professional
credentials. . . most of the stock reflects
their own taste for the fine and the
curious."
PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER:
"dealers in the full range
of music related items. . . in America Wurlitzer
and Bruck are unique."
FORTUNE MAGAZINE:
". . . how easy it is to buy
gifts for a musician!"
ANTIQUE MONTHLY:
"If it has anything to
do with music, chances are that the
Wurlitzer-Brucks either have it or
can find it for you. . . the gallery [is]
really more like a collection from
which one can purchase. There is
something here for every taste. . . the
research and enthusiasm that accompany every
item are an integral part. . ."
TOWN & COUNTRY:
". . . and they love what they
do -- which is buy, sell and appraise anything
rare or antiquarian that has to do with
music." |
